Solomon Orphanage
Rev. Solomon Raj accepted Jesus as his personal saviour at the age of 15 and committed himself for the full time ministry at the age of 18 yrs. He equipped himself with BD (Bachelor of Divinity) and M.Th (Master of Theology) from the Senate of Serampore University and also holds a Masters Degree in Religion & Philosophy along with a Post Graduate Diploma in HRD (Human Resource Development). While traveling across India, working closely with children and child evangelists,
Solomon has identified the children infected with HI V/AIDS as the most neglected
and ill-treated. A lot of stigma & discrimination is attached to these issues.
He has developed a passion for children suffering with HIV/AIDS, who are the
innocent victims of their parent's faults. This passion has developed into a
vision, with an aim of giving Love, Laughter & Life to these orphan children
who are all infected with HIV/AIDS.
Solomon started a shelter in March of 2006 with 1 child and has 14 children
in its Home now. Due to lack of facilities and support at least another 20 children
have been denied shelter during this year.
