Faith Is All You Need
We met Sajit George purely by accident. Our old bus had broken down and somehow, in a flurry of fast and impossible to understand Malarlam cell phone conversations between our driver and the pastor at the orphanage we had just left, it was decided that Sajit would travel with us to the next orphanage.
The first thing I noticed about him was his smile. I don’t think I ever saw Sajit not smiling. Even the next day, when we both stood next to the half-finished building he was constructing, he smiled. I could tell it weighed heavily on him.
As he told me how the Indian government, through a senseless web of politics and beaurocracy, had threatened to shut his meager orphanage of 50 children down, unless he could find a way to have separate quarters for the boys and the girls.
Sajit’s faith is incredible. He knows that God will provide. It never even enters his mind that a solution will not present itself. He stands tall and strong amongst the children he cares for as we pull out of the dusty courtyard of their meager home. The children wave, and blow kisses.
These children, and Sajit, need your help. For just $1150 per month you can support this growing safe-haven. And for just $40,000 Sajit’s prayer for an adequate facility can be answered.
